TransAlp Bike Tour:Don't try this at home, kids

Plans are set and plane fares have been purchased. We leave Kelowna, BC, July 4 and will return Sept. 3. Land in Munich where we will be picked up by warmshowers member who will host us for the night and then keep our bike boxes until we leave in Sept.

Our rough itinerary is to travel south from Munich over the Austrian border, head east to Salzburg passing through Germany briefly, continuing on to Vienna, south along the Hungarian border, through Slovenia, up back into Austria through a bit of the Italian Dolomites, up, down and around the Austrian Alps as we get stronger, heading westerly, through Switzerland, Into France , back into Switzerland, Lichtenstein, on to Innsbruck and then north to Munich.

Seems pretty straight forward.

These are a couple of fotos of a 2 day, 180 km a shake down trip around our area.
